After a 12-year layoff, James Cameron returns to the director’s chair with the heavily hyped Avatar, a 3-D sci-fi epic that industry observers and fans are hailing as a potential Hollywood “game changer.” This time around, it’s humans who are the alien invaders, and Sam Worthington stars as Jake Sully, a paraplegic ex-Marine selected for participation in the Avatar program, which enables humans to remotely inhabit an alien body.
